Responsible for the top problem resolution with external suppliers, yard hold activities, and supplier improvement processes through the use of Kaizen activity and 8D management systems for current issues. Speed to containment, root cause, and corrective action. Lead problem solving activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing, as well as supplier organizations. Participate and present status updates and articulate issues in cross-functional team meetings and reviews.

Ongoing interface with suppliers for APQP and corrective actions. Development of Supply base to meet Omron’s requirements, internal problem solving activities, containment coordination as well as defect analysis and reporting.

Monitor, analyze, and provide variation reduction actions for dimensional data. Analyze white light scans and CMM data to identify interference/non-conforming parts to 3D math overlay data. This involves any data negatively affecting, Fit, Form, Function, and capability to engineering specifications (Cp, Cpk) for Body in White (basic car body), doors, fenders, and supplier components. Work closely with Metrology Center, Engineering (Product, AME, ASME), and Advanced SQE. Provide presentations to Senior Management and Plant personnel to show status and progress on Cp,Cpk improvements and improvement projects. Coordinate with other departments in their daily activities such as preventive maintenance, production support, repairing down equipment and performing data analysis to identify root cause.
