When Solix Algredients was acquired by BGG North America, I transitioned to the Director of Quality Assurance & Innovation and managed the Quality Assurance program at BGG North America. I was responsible for maintaining SOPs, calibration records, training for cGMP, and managing outside vendors used in our process. In addition, I was testing two strains for next generation products at the production facility in China.

I managed the company's pilot plant producing algal biomass. The facility included 0.6 acre of photosynthetic area and had ~171,000 L of culture at maximum capacity. During this time, we also retrofitted two of the three basins while still running production in the third. The retrofit was complete in time to run at maximum capacity starting in late spring.
