Main Activities:• Design and development of a spouted bed dryer on a pilot scale, with an exhaust air heat recovery system. • Development and implementation of intermittent drying methodologies for seeds, grains, and particulate materials, aiming the energy optimization. • Physical and physiological characterization of seeds, grains, and particulate materials. • Resources management and planning of scientific partnerships.• Writing of Scientific Papers, Reports, Grant Projects, and Financial Accountability.

Main Activities:• Drying of sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L) Moench] in a conical spouted bed, aiming the use of such materials as biofuels and renewable energy sources. • Development and implementation of energy analysis for convective dryers, taking into account the mechanical energy required for the process. • Design of Experiments (DOE) and application of the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) for process optimization. • Writing of Scientific Papers, Reports, Grant Projects, and Financial Accountability.

Main Activities:• Design and development of internal devices to improve energy performance and dynamic stability of convective dryers and multiphase systems. • Mathematical modelling and drying of seeds and grains (soybean, barley, and alumina particles). • Hydrodynamic characterization of multiphase systems by Pressure Fluctuation Analysis, Spectral Analysis, and Particle Tracking Velocimetry Technique (PTV). • Writing of Scientific Papers, Reports, Grant Projects, and Financial Accountability.
