Gender & Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Officer

i. Conducting routine provision of psychosocial support, counselling, referrals and advice clients on sexual and gender-related cases to refugee and hosts Communities.ii. Coordinating the Sexual Reproductive Health Rights issues & providing clients with a referral for medical attention as necessaryiii. Conducting field monitoring visits and follow up with clients in the different refugee settlements across the countryiv. Coordinating the emergency medical referrals to approved medical, psychosocial, and legal service providers as well as home-based care for clientsv. Providing technical support to survivor-led support groups affiliated with the project while ensuring that activities are carried out with cultural sensitivity while promoting gender equality and inclusion of marginalized groups.vi. Working with health teams to ensure access and participation of women, men, girls and boys in RLP’s sexual reproductive health.vii. Planning, developing and implementing timely and professional case management approaches following established national SGBV case management guidelines.viii. Advocating on issues affecting refugees, asylum seekers and other forced migrants using different advocacy strategies like the media, community and public dialogues, and video documentaries, among others.ix. Establishing new, maintaining and strengthening existing working relations and partnerships with different stakeholders within the district to support programme implementation. x. Identification of key emerging issues for conceptualization into research studies on topical and emerging issues within the programme and directly and indirectly drafted briefing papers, opinion pieces, and press statements/release and blogs on refugee issues in the district and the region. xi. Ensuring project sustainability by contributing to fundraising activities, including identifying new funding lines, drafting concept notes, and funding proposals.
