As the Field Office Coordinator, I am In-charge of all the daily activities and duties at the Field Office, line manages and coordinates a total of 34 field-office staff, handles operational and financial matters to provide an excellent service and further develops relationships with the relevant stakeholders and institutions, including OPM, UNHCR, INGOs, CBOs, victims and refugee survivor groups and other educational communities.

Adjumani, Northern Region, Uganda

i. Conducting routine provision of psychosocial support, counselling, referrals and advice clients on sexual and gender-related cases to refugee and hosts Communities.ii. Coordinating the Sexual Reproductive Health Rights issues & providing clients with a referral for medical attention as necessaryiii. Conducting field monitoring visits and follow up with clients in the different refugee settlements across the countryiv. Coordinating the emergency medical referrals to approved medical, psychosocial, and legal service providers as well as home-based care for clientsv. Providing technical support to survivor-led support groups affiliated with the project while ensuring that activities are carried out with cultural sensitivity while promoting gender equality and inclusion of marginalized groups.vi. Working with health teams to ensure access and participation of women, men, girls and boys in RLP’s sexual reproductive health.vii. Planning, developing and implementing timely and professional case management approaches following established national SGBV case management guidelines.viii. Advocating on issues affecting refugees, asylum seekers and other forced migrants using different advocacy strategies like the media, community and public dialogues, and video documentaries, among others.ix. Establishing new, maintaining and strengthening existing working relations and partnerships with different stakeholders within the district to support programme implementation. x. Identification of key emerging issues for conceptualization into research studies on topical and emerging issues within the programme and directly and indirectly drafted briefing papers, opinion pieces, and press statements/release and blogs on refugee issues in the district and the region. xi. Ensuring project sustainability by contributing to fundraising activities, including identifying new funding lines, drafting concept notes, and funding proposals.

Adjumani Field Office, West Nile Sub Region

Tasks/Roles: a). Routine planning and conducting an assessment/data collection as well as analysis for over 4,316 (1,474 M, 2,822 F, 20 GNC) recently arrived south Sudanese refugees for experiences of violence and established the resultant medical, psychological and legal needs that they require for their physical and mental wellbeing. b). Conducting field visits and follow-up with clients in the different refugee settlements across the region and provided peace building support, psychosocial support, referrals advice to persons of concerns exposed to sexual and gender based violence.c.) Planning, organizing and facilitating periodic capacity building workshop for refugee welfare councils and other settlement authorities involving key staff of implementing agencies operating in the settlement of operation. d). Managing the project budget through making financial forecast, expenditure monitoring, variance analysis, and committed funds to suppliers and service providers with support of procurement unit.e). Guiding periodic awareness raising and information sessions across the different refugee settlement on key issues such as peace and security, gender based violence prevention and response as well as child protection issues.f). Mapping out all protection agencies within the area of operations and building/maintaining appropriate networks within the communities involving key stakeholders such as government agencies, refugee leaders, host communities and the persons of concern (PoC) being refuges.g). Ensuring proper documentation of project impact by taking beneficiaries’ testimonies and most significant change stories indicating recovery and improvement in livelihood of the clients served by the project. h). Representing the organization at different platforms that address forced migration issues including in interagency coordination meeting, protection working group meetings.

Gulu & Omoro -Northern Uganda

Tasks/Roles a). Positively influenced the health seeking behaviors of the community members particularly children, youths & Women across all the districts by encouraging them to report any health related challenges in their household and communities as a means to attain and live a good healthy life. b). Contributed to health system strengthening activities in the project sites (district of implementation) by contributing to discussions that shaped HIV/AIDs programming, health sector accountability and community health and advocacy. c). Built the capacities of 512 community based stakeholders including; Village Health Teams, Health Unit Management Committees, Local Councils and Health Assistants across 29 health facilities across the district. d). Successfully identified and recommended community members/individuals and groups who were in need of psychosocial counselling and home based visits. e). Substantially managed the project budget in the field office by ensuring high quality and timely accountabilities, concept notes, purchase request approvals, budget revisions, variance analysis and burn rates monitoring as per the financial policy of the organization. f). Successfully tracked project indicators against set project targets and provided timely quantitative data for reporting purposes to management and the donor and ensured optimal use of project funds.g). Successfully guided 145 community advocates drawn from the districts of Gulu and Omoro to identify health related issues and guided them in developing their advocacy strategy and petition district, ministerial agencies and the parliament of Uganda.h). Coordinated dissemination of the Citizen Report Cards (CRCs) in the district health sector working group meetings and to the District Health Teams, DHTs) as well as across 29 health facilities in Gulu and Omoro district.

Kitgum, Northern Region, Uganda

Tasks/Roles: • Establishing networks and partnerships with the community, local authorities and other service providers within the program areas. • Carrying out Needs Assessment using (NAT) and Vulnerability Assessment using (VAT) of children, youth and families within the project areas.• Conducting community dialogue and information sessions/awareness on issues relating to Sexual and Gender Based Violence with both the local leaders and community child protection committees and local councils one within the project areas. • Engaging in conducting advocacy and sensitization programs to both the community and civil society members to help avert negative vices such as child abuse and neglects within the community. • I participating in the planning and budgeting process of the Child Protection Program• Implementing the annual Child Protection Program plan within the approved budget• Preparing and submitting progress reports to the Child Protection Program coordinator• As child protection office I ensured strict adherence to the Child Protection Program policies and internal controls• Managing the Child Protection Program documentation including database maintenance of the beneficiaries• Taking full responsibility and accountability for the Child Protection Program property and financial resources.

Kitgum -Northern Uganda

TTasks/Roles:• Tracing/Identifying the Eligible beneficiaries and the Extremely Vulnerable Individuals (EVIs) households in the fields. • Managing the General Food Distribution System and rations in the field • Handling Stacked Food, Monitoring and Documentation • Handling truck weigh bills and lining of the food trucks• Drafting field operation reports to the field assistant • Recording complaints and developed the master list of eligible household beneficiaries in the camps. • Carrying out post distribution monitoring assessment entailing collection of beneficiaries feed on general food distributions in the 29 camps in Kitgum district. • Writing monthly report on the monitoring exercises and submitting them to the project officer Livelihoods.
