For most of that time I worked with system development, working at all stages such as requirements gathering, analysis, development, review, implemention and monitoring. I started my career as a programmer as a trainee in a Software House in São Paulo/Brazil working in a migration from a system developed in Clipper to another developed in Delphi 4. After that I was hired by a Forniture Industry when I was introduced to Micro Focus COBOL 4.0 using indexed files.Then an opportunity arose and I moved to Parana/Brazil where I was hired by a Software House to work with Micro Focus COBOL 3.5 in a short project.At the end of that project I was hired by a Agrobusiness Company in the Capital of Parana/Brazil to work with Acucorp's AcuCOBOL 9.0 (AcuCOBOL). One of the biggest challenges was developing a mobile application using VB.NET to collect data in the field with a CypherLab device running Windows CE. At that time the best solution to take the VB.NET App data to the COBOL system and process the information was use a MySQL DataBase.New opportunities came at the right time, a project for communicating a COBOL System with two other third party Systems (Agricultural Control and Human Resources), then a road balance communication project and the last one an Agricultural Control module for planning and monitoring of crops aimed at Horti-Frutti.I'm current available for new opportunities and challenges, but until they appear, I decided to spend a season living in Canada to improve my English Skills.Ronaldo Ottoni.
