Work with the Advanced Engineering teams to flesh out new concepts. Provide initial assessments of feasibility, cost and timing to both the teams making the requests and keeping the Core EE development team in touch with what is going to be asked of them in the near future. Incorporate the latest fuel efficiency and electrification into our vehicles early in the product development cycle. Ensure that any advances in ADAS and cyber security are considered and designed in from the start. Lead the development of the Wrangler PHEV from Concept to Production Design Complete. Coordinate the cost, design and sourcing of all the new EE components and systems necessary to allow FCA to build this critical piece of our electrification plan. Leverage new processes to engage stakeholders early enough in the process to provide a fully functioning new cluster hardware and software 12 weeks prior to traditional timelines ensuring a flawless customer experience. Modify our EE processes to include our partners in ePT in every communication to allow seamless development.Mentor the growing new ranks of young engineering talent entering FCA from Purdue and other engineering schools.

Product line manager responsible for the electrical system integration, development and validation of of our E segment vehicles, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. These cars can be equipped with our latest driver safety systems including Lane Departure with haptic feedback and Full Collision Warning plus. Our large cars have recently won many 3rd party awards such as JD Power IQS and JD Power APEAL.

My team and I are responsible for all aspects of the EE development and integration for the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. The 2015 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 launched on time, under budget with quality levels that are better than the exit vehicle. JD Power IQS survey results agreed. The Chrysler 300 is first place in quality in its segment and 4th overall for all passenger cars.

On site expatriate at Maserati S.p.A. responsible for the design, development and implementation of the full vehicle electrical system for the New Maserati Quattroporte. Liaison between Electrical Engineering team and the Vehicle design team/Program Management team. Car was launched on time and within approved budgets. All early indications from the press and public is that this project was a huge success.

Responsible to ensure all aspects of the electrical system design, validation and execution of the Dodge Challenger vehicle fulfills customer requirements. Direct report to the Head (VP) of Electrical Engineering.

• Co-lead the $1B 2011 'large car' renewal project through the vehicle development process. • Facilitate communication and documentation so that the team can properly balance customer needs, manufacturing capabilities and financial concerns. • Primary contact for all Financial, Electrical, Infotainment, Body and Exterior disciplines. • Manage all target offset requests and program changes to ensure the financial roll up accurately reflects those changes. • Lead the large car platform in the use of a new financial tracking system to track total vehicle cost and set cost targets for future models. • Act as an arbitrator for interdisciplinary issues. Focus is on timely resolution keeping the entire program and company's long term best interest in mind. • Administer/facilitate the weekly Program Management team meeting. I am responsible for the meeting content, information flow and meeting minutes.

• Led a team of engineers in the development of globally common occupant restraint controllers and impact sensors for all corporate carlines. • Ensure vehicle integration teams needs are included early to prevent late design changes. • Worked with integration and quality teams to drive customer issues to zero. • Acted as department manager while Senior Manager was out of office. • Rated Role Model for my efforts in improving productivity, quality and morale of the entire department. • Led efforts to conduct Lean Process training and process redesign to better align engineering workload and available human resources. • Rapid resolution of quality issues using Root Cause Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.

• Concurrent challenge assignment provided to me based on my rating of Role Model in 2004 calendar year. • Hire, train, deploy and guide a team of seven quality engineers to assist in finding root cause of current production quality issues. • This team prevented over $1.6 million in warranty by identifying and resolving problems earlier than normal processes would have. • Leveraged and supplemented existing plant validation engineering and quality organizations to maximize benefit while reducing the need for additional administrative oversight. • Supervised 14 engineers (7 Quality and 7 Passive Safety) during this assignment with four members operating at remote locations.

Greatly improved morale, teamwork and productivity of team by coaching and leading by example. Our team was responsible for the design and release of all alternators, starters, cam/crank sensors and oxygen sensors for all Jeep Products worldwide. Our team exceeded both platform and cost management sub-team goals by aggressively testing and implementing changes. Quality improvement efforts resulted in a 52% improvement in warranty in 2002 MY from 2001.

 Led a group of six engineers to design, develop and release body electronic / mechatronics modules for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Coached team members in project management and self-sufficiency. Led the Repair/Reprocess team at Jefferson North Assembly Plant for the 1999 WJ launch. Improved first time through capability from 40 to 90% by streamlining plant testers and driving resolution of engineering and manufacturing issues.

 I learned firsthand that carefully defined functional objectives are crucial to satisfying customer requirements. Worked with department to develop a repeatable software development process that delivered high quality code on time to meet customer expectations. Actively participated in numerous vehicle development ride and drive events including extended stays at Arizona Proving Grounds to develop an adaptive suspension system.

Received “Recognition of Excellence” award from Procurement and Supply for removing production bottlenecks on end-of-line testers both at tier-one supplier plants as well as at Jefferson North Assembly and Steyr Assembly in Graz, Austria. Supported launch of new multiplexed door module system. Obtained first surface design experience with door switches and new keyless entry fob. Performed FEA analysis/redesign of the JA shock tower. Thermal modeling of Power devices in the engine controller.

Co-op position in engineering department as a CAD designer. Performed PLC programming and acted as department IT professional as well. Spec'ed and ordered computer equipment. Taught team how to use new CAD software.
