I am currently a CAD Technician/Assistant Project Manager in the Parking Lot and Pavement Division with Foresight Services in Highland, IL. My primary roles include design, RFP development, and bid management.In May 2017, I received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I served for eight years in the US Army (2002-10), primarily in Military Intelligence. I was a Non-Commissioned Officer supervising a Geospatial Intelligence section consisting of seven junior enlisted soldiers performing geospatial analysis, utilizing multiple Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.From 2010-14 I held a Civilian DoD position. As a Subject Matter Expert of geospatial analysis and operational support, I was designated as the lead instructor for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Deployer Analytical Readiness Training Course. I developed and maintained an intermediate level course tcovering the proper techniques and procedures for utilizing GIS software in support of US military units deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Mexico, and Horn of Africa Theatres of Operation.In 2014, I decided to change paths and pursue an educational and career path as a Civil Engineer. I have been recognized for academic excellence by qualifying as a Dean’s List student.In May 2015, I began an internship with the Village of Bethalto Public Works Department. I performed the duties of the inspector for the road project from start to finish. This involved measuring and calculating removals, concrete and asphalt phases, performing quality control depth checks for storm sewer placement, maintaining accurate documentation for materials, and confirming construction met IDOT standards. I also assisted the Director of Public Works with the organization and development of a GIS program for the Village.
