I serve as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) and have been responsible for various advertising, sales , product development, and revenue growth initiatives during my 20 years with the company. In my current role, I oversee the company’s membership and revenue growth of all market segments – totaling nearly $3 billion in annual revenue. I also oversee the company’s underwriting and market solutions department. Prior to joining Blue KC, I was deeply involved in other areas of healthcare as the former CEO of six specialty hospitals and served with political committees on healthcare reform during the Clinton Administration. I also served in the U.S. Army on active duty for eight years, working in the medical corps.I continue to be actively dedicated to national and local healthcare reform initiatives, previously serving as the Chairman of Blue KC’s Healthcare Reform Product and Pricing subcommittee and playing an active role as a member of the Blue KC Healthcare Reform Task Force Oversight Committee. I am also the President of the West Platte R2 Board of Education.
