Managed weapons armory with over 3,500 weapons.• Saved an estimated $200K in shipping costs by facilitating the command-to-command transfer of 215 weapons from 3 NBG commands to Japan, eliminating custody transfer through Crane, In.• Resurrected a struggling and non compliant armory by developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that vastly improved record keeping, physical security, and mandatory inventory procedures.• Re-implemented a failing and neglected required monthly weapons inventory program ensuring strict accountability of 1,425 small arms, weapons, and night vision devices resulting in the command meeting the 24 month inventory archive requirement. • Managed team of 6 through the execution of 65 small arms and crew served weapons live fire exercises for 1,800 active duty and reserve component shooters resulting in a 30% increase in battalion weapons qualifications.• Facilitated the seamless transition of 745 rifles for the improved rail system model with no interruptions to scheduled ranges and training.• Coordinated training and qualification of 15 instructors, explosive drivers, ammunition handlers and quality assurance safety officers.
