I feel fortunate to be a part of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC), which is an economic development institution comprising of a strong team of professionals who are devoted to globally promoting Grenada as a prime investment location by providing incentives to investors, stimulating enterprise development, and assisting in improving the enabling environment through policy advocacy for the development of businesses. We also manage and maintain the largest business rental facilities in Grenada, providing space for more than 60 tenants. I have almost 20 years of experience in the investment promotion industry, beginning when I joined GIDC in 2001 as an Investment Promotion Officer, to my appointment as CEO in 2018. I was the first Grenadian President of the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies, a body which promotes the Caribbean region as an investment destination, serving in this capacity from 2012 to 2014.My expertise lies in investment facilitation within the Tourism, ICT and Agribusiness sectors and I have had to advocate for many changes within Grenada’s legal and regulatory framework, particularly as it relates to investment incentives. I have decades of experience in planning, implementing, and coordinating effective systems for promoting investments; identifying investment opportunities and advocating policy; strategic image building, promotion and marketing; and building support for investment in the national and regional community.
