Greetings, my name is Ron! I’m a biomedical scientist by training, recently finished my dissertation pertaining to the complications of resolving post-influenza secondary bacterial infections (also called superinfection) at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennslvania. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, people always respond, “You must be pretty popular right now.” Truth is a resounding yes! I’ve become the “cool kid” at the scientific table. I never had so many people vying to understand bugs and cytokines! I think every scientist (myself included) is seeing how much society wants to better understand our scientific world, and how effective scientific communications carries our work, societal advancements, and the benefits from an informed public.I love technology and science, especially how we utilize them in improving the world through devices, pharmaceutical targets, and overall improvements of the human condition.
