​​​​​​​Ron Amit is vice president in the Design Engineering Group​​​​​​​ and general manager of Manufacturing & Product Engineering. Based in Haifa, Israel, Amit joined Intel in 1996 and spent his first seven years with the company developing software solutions designed to optimize the productivity and efficiency of Intel’s manufacturing and product development processes. He moved into the management sphere in 2003, initially leading data analytics and software manufacturing teams within Intel’s Israel Development Center. In parallel, he began holding leadership positions within various product development teams. For several years, Amit managed the development of post-silicon manufacturing for Intel client products, overseeing an organization located in Israel and India. Currently, Amit leads the global Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) organization, a team with the vision to make manufacturing a competitive advantage for Intel.Amit previously led various engineering teams in multiple post-silicon domains, rising to lead the entire product development engineering organization for Intel client products. He later rose again to oversee manufacturing and validation work for Intel’s entire client processors and chipset product portfolio. Amit’s significant contributions to numerous client products across various process nodes have earned him multiple honors during his career, including two Intel Achievement Awards, the company’s highest recognition. Also, in 2017 and 2021, he was a member of the Post Silicon engineering organization teams that won an Intel Quality Award.Amit holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa, Israel.
