Moved to the Risk Analytics group within the Product Team where I worked on the implementation of the firm’s Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) offering

Worked with a colleague to set up the Risk Control Operations team in the Murex Dublin office in November 2014, and then took on the role of team lead at the beginning of February 2015.The team was responsible for all production support of clients handled by the Dublin office, as well as assisting the Product and Client project teams and acting as an escalation point for Murex client support teams worldwide, in close collaboration with the development support team.The role also involved the training of new consultant hires who typically joined the operations team upon starting with Murex Dublin.Under my leadership the team grew to a headcount of 9 consultants, from graduate through to senior, working on a variety of small and large-scale client and product development projects across the Risk Control domain, 2nd-level regional client support and 1st-level MLC support for 7 Financial institutions.During this time I also worked in the following capacities:- Primary MLC contact for three clients- MLC stream lead for a product extension project with a European supranational organisation which combined the efforts of consultants across 4 Murex offices- Leading an upgrade project for a key MLC Product Evolution Services (PES) client- Middle East regional PES representative for the Dublin office

Product Evolution Services (PES) Consultant, Enterprise Risk Management - Risk ControlHigh-level overview of roles/responsibilities:- Requirement-gathering, specification writing, testing and documentation for new Murex Limits Controller (MLC) features- Client upgrades and configuration extension projects including software upgrades, Sybase-Oracle migration, extension of risk control systems to include new products.- Defining the roles and responsibilities of the Risk Control Operations team and leading the team.- Supporting clients with production issues, queries arising during internal configuration and integration projects, and general ad-hoc queries.- Internal training of Murex employees and external training of clients/affiliates (both on Murex premises and on client-site)- Building and maintenance of automated limits test package using FitNesse.- Running of 3-month embedment programme for consultants from partner organisations, including the selection of candidates, organisation of trainers, delivery of training, review of work and liaising with colleagues to organise projects for trainees.- PES Risk Control representative to the Middle East region

Preparing lesson plans, delivering course content, meeting with parents/guardians, setting coursework and setting and grading exams. Preparing students for the Leaving Certificate examination in Applied Mathematics.

- Performing Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to study the folding and unfolded dynamics of proteins.- Building Markov models to calculate the equilibrium properties of proteins from MD simulations.- Using analytical models to study the essential features of protein folding.Methods:- Maximum-Likelihood/machine-learning method to optimise transition rate parameters from data-set of short molecular dynamics simulations- Eigen-analysis of reached transition rate matrices to obtain equilibrium properties of systems- Molecular dynamics simulation using GROMACS, NAMD- Analysis and visualisation of data using Matlab, Octave, VMD, Pymol, Python, Fortran- Principal Component Analysis (PCA) of simulation trajectories using WORDOM- Clustering methods for molecular dynamics data-setsSystems of interest:- An autonomously-folding helix-turn-helix subdomain of the p22 viral scaffolding protein, previously used as a target model for site-specific IR-spectroscopy unfolding experiments- Aggregation-prone proteins, in particular hIAPP, related to type-2 diabetes-Toy/model proteins exhibiting well-defined 2-state folding dynamics
