Gained invaluable experience and built a great rapport and professional relationship with other healthcare professionals and, most importantly, with patients by aiding them with all needs associated with their health and well-being. Promoted to the position of Supervising Pharmacist in December 2015. This role has given me further responsibility in the day to day management and running of the pharmacy. Ensuring the pharmacy is run effectively, efficiently and safely in accordance with current legislation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsible for the bulk ordering of medicines in the dispensary, liaising with various company representatives to ensure cost effectiveness is optimised and sufficient stock levels are maintained. Acted as tutor for a pre-registration student that was employed in the pharmacy in 2014. He went on to excel in his pre-registration exams under my tutelage and is currently in full time employment in the pharmaceutical industry. Actively engaging in CPD to keep up to date with changes in practices and regulations in the pharmaceutical sector.

Completed my pre-registration internship from September 2010 to November 2011. Upon graduating from the MPharm through RCSI, I was employed as a fully qualified pharmacist. Responsible for monitoring and medication management for patients in both the community and various residential care homes, primarily. This position involved working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of healthcare in this specialist setting. I observed how patients with complex medical histories and co-morbidities are treated safely and effectively.
