Here I provided leadership to a cadre of over 80 Scrum Masters and 12 Agile Coaches dispersed globally serving nearly 90 Products. Oversight of a technical team that was responsible for migrating Atlassian and Google Suite to MS Teams, ADO, and SharePoint. SME and trainer of bootcamps, CoPs, and a Lean Agile Center of Excellence for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Developers. Agile Practice Lead over a variety of frameworks and methodologies including SAFe, Scrum @ Scale, Nexus, LESS, Kanban, and Scrum.

Consulting for a Big 4 firm in their Digital space I am the dedicated Agile Coach in the USA and Europe. I coach, train, mentor, and provide leadership to my teams by delivering an Agile mindset utilizing Scrum, Kanban, XP, and Lean principles. Worked with TD Bank as a Master Facilitator for their proprietary Scaled Agile Transformation, delivering Virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT) for Product Family, Product Owner, and Product Group learning journeys.

Serving as a Program Manager I oversaw the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications in Power BI, Azure and the End of Life conversion from Adobe Flex to SAP Fiori for 15 teams. I also worked as an Agile Coach and Trainer and contributed heavily to SCE’s transformation from Waterfall to one laden with > 30 Scrum and Kanban teams, preparing them for a further scaling to SAFe 5 as an RTE.

Worked as an Agile Coach and Trainer to the Digital Channel lines of business servicing 3 development teams as coach, mentor, and trainer in Agile best practices, JIRA and Confluence administration, and Scrum / Kanban methodologies. Additional duties include standing up 14 Kanban squads and working in the transformation of the bank’s cultural and paradigm shift from waterfall as a trainer and Agile subject matter expert.

Transforming the organization from Waterfall to an Agile practice I helped facilitate a release train +of 12 teams as an RTE in the Government Business Division. Ran an admixture of Scrum, ScrumBan, and KanBan modalities which were often augmented by Jira administration, training teams, product owners, and other scrum masters on Agile best practices, and heavy involvement in the leadership of CoP’s and participation in CoE activities. Thoroughly engaged in aligning the enterprise to SAFe 4.5 as RTE and Scrum Master Adviser.

Worked with a multitude of Stakeholders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Team Member’s on a trio of AmEx initiatives. Formulated and facilitated trainings and Deep Dives into Rally (Computer Associates Agile Center), Vision and Road Mapping, Big Room Release Planning, and Agile Maturity Assessments. Conducted 1:1, workshops, coffee talks, and executive trainings on Agile best practices. Co-Authored Agile Playbook and contributed regularly to the 20 coach Community of Practice.

Liaising with management and tactfully crafting teams I served as an RTE, coaching the program activity of an 80- member SAFe implementation under the guise of an AIG global portfolio. The diverse workflow required working in eight time zones, six countries, with almost 24/7 presence and oversight. Established a Center of Excellence allowing for effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders and coaches.

Coordinated and solidified the scrum experience of two development teams, based in Burbank and Irvine, CA. By introducing a Kanban methodology for hotfixes and product enhancements I was able to hone and lead these teams into their rightful place in the agile framework through direction and leadership. Worked closely with executive management in identifying the future release and maintenance of the Marketing Resource Management tool (Route 66 – MRM) until its hard launch.

Working with a mature team of Developers and Quality Engineers, I was charged with garnering a more cross-functional approach to their Agile (SAFe) framework. I worked in the trenches with the team as their RTE, ramping up and delivering on the first quarter PI initiatives. I also worked with management in devising and implementing training materials for 12 other departments as a part of their Agile Community of Practice.

Working in the Mortgage Technology domain I engineered the work product of staff, consultants, and bank EVP and C-Level sponsors. I generated training decks and instructor materials in alignment with Scrum.org certification standards: 5 Day Introduction to Agile, 1 Day Scrum Master Training, 1 Day Product Owner Training, and 1 Day Team Practitioner Training. Trained and groomed three teams in ScrumBan and coached their progress through Iterations One and Two.

Precipitated a departmental transformation to Scrum for the Online Digital Interactive division. Executed a Maturity Model delineating strengths/weaknesses at the organizational and team levels. This allowed the ability to devise and implement a Scrum/Kanban modality that increased Team effectiveness and throughput. Coached Product Owner on Agile best practices, focusing heavily upon Backlog Grooming, and worked with PO, SM, and Team on User Story development, highlighting Ready and Done.

Conducted 3 Day Agile Boot Camp focusing upon executive buy-in, backlog creation and grooming, story decomposition, and the Scrum lifecycle. Coached client through Sprint 0 initiative, defining Scope, Capacity, Release Schedule, Workflow, and Resource Mapping.

Aligned the corporate charter within the division’s scope and researched, and subsequently architected, a transformation strategy for successfully converting the development lifecycle from the waterfall methodology to an agile paradigm. Implemented workflow tracking with Version One.

Managed a $1.2MM USD Budget while overseeing the Global Production of the InterContinental Brand of Hotels (Holiday Inn) Website Redesign. Increased sprint velocity from 20 to 40 story points, with successful acceptance, by implementing backlog grooming.

Accenture / Walt Disney Parks and ResortsFacilitated, orchestrated, and maintained the cohesive integration of 15 silo’s in a multi-functional, cross-platform Java enabled environment. Aligned scope with and in the various team structures enabled continuous workflow improvement and increased organization.

Developed and trained Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Team Members on internal Scrum teams. Instituted corporate change by aligning and architecting company’s agenda in their transition from Waterfall to Scrum methodologies. Drove change management by orchestrating Test Driven Development in assuring corporate and federal regulations were followed.

Managed virtual team of 5 developers, 1 BA, and 1 QA in re-architecture of Adobe product suite for T-Mobile. Assisted with company’s adaptation of TDD by writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.

Architected a corporate university, escalating customer satisfaction 230%, resulting in fewer call-backs, decreased call duration, and the additional sale of 25,000 seats. Grew software development team from a 5 person shop to a $5M USD, 40+ person global staff.

Adroit in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software systems and Web architecture. Technical advising procured contracts that generated over $250M in 4 years.

Worked in the capacity of site design, development, and deployment of the Corona Data Center's Intranet site, including documentation for national operations, three regional help desks, and a managed reporting environment. Developed a Document Management System (DMS), a middle-tier bridge to the Vantive CRM and a robust Intranet Portal. At the national level I was involved in the development of the corporate Intranet and national Internet initiatives (KP.org), including infrastructure development, network architecture, scalability, dynamic content generation, security, load balancing, fault tolerance, hardware specifications, and various levels of secured access to the sites. Also worked on the web products evaluation committee developing specifications, evaluations, and recommendations of both desktop and server software. I helped pioneer the development of ecommerce and systems integration; freight logistics, warehouse and fulfillment, inventory controls, and portal development. • Architected the first web presences and online reservation systems for Circus Circus Enterprises and their cavalcade of Las Vegas Hotels/Casinos: Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus Circus.• Negotiated with vendors, suppliers, and entrepreneurs for content and product for proprietary website portals on travel, cooking, entertainment, pet supplies, gaming, and merchandizing. • Chair of Emanate web advisory council; a consortium of developers, designers, and programmers dedicated to emerging technologies.
