During my time on the board, I have opposed tax increases and worked for tax stability with an emphasis on trimming expenditures and increasing revenues, a difficult task during the recent economic downturn. The only vote that I made for a tax increase was several years ago, when there was a great concern for some badly needed police and fire equipment. Other that that I have fought the cry for needless tax increases, by those who believe that to 'tax and spend' is the only option. I was the only Supervisor to vote against the local Services Tax for many reasons. I was the only Supervisor to meet with the C.E.T and discuss issues of local concern.I led the fight against the sale of the Sewer System.I stopped the 'Single trash hauler' initiative for many reasons. A needles and unwanted governmental intrusion.Along with Pete Stainthorpe, led the fight against the leaf removal debacle, as well as crossed the aisle to work with fellow supervisors to repeal a hefty tax increase in 2009-2010.I kept my campaign promise to provide transparency in government by televising all township board meetings.Led the initiative to openly interview all members of the public for Board/Commission positions and to appoint individuals to posts regardless of party labels.Although opposed by some in both parties, I have fiercely fought to maintain the quality of life in LMT. I have opposed the commercialization of the Rte. 332 bypass and Patterson Farm. I have fought to preserve the nature of the historic and farm properties by fostering a plan for Patterson Farm and Elm Lowne, by getting the township out of the costly historic preservation business. I have worked for Low Impact Development and an Ordinance now exists to guarantee it.Reversed the bad effects of the R.C.O.
