Monitor major systems in data center on a regular basis. Monitor Local Area NetworkRespond to support requests.Decide when and how to escalate the request to higher levels of support.Install and upgrade equipment, software and peripherals based on managed requests. Print reports from the AS/400 and corporate which includes sensitive data such as payroll reports. Participate in any operation projects. Backup other system support technician, operator or PC support specialist when needed. Must be able to act independently. Must demonstrate ability to independently recognize problems and logically develop solutions. Must adapt to many levels of systems users. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to deal with users in a personable manner (patience). Must be able to support multi-plant environment. Errors could result in 500 plus users losing complete access to MRP data, Financial data, Work Order data, and PC data and applications.
