After earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech, Ron began his career in sales with industry leaders Lutron and Crestron. Prior to establishing One Firefly in November of 2007, Ron served as the Regional Manager of Crestron Electronics, managing the South Florida and Caribbean markets which at the time were the fastest growing automation markets in the country. Prior to his position with Crestron, Ron worked for Lutron Electronics from 2000-2003 as a Sales Engineer managing markets and client relationships throughout the Midwest. Ron received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2000. Ron is certified by CEDIA to teach their ROI (Registered Industry Outreach) Curriculum to the building industry and is a CCI Instructor (CEDIA Certified Instructor) and teaches regularly at national conferences and industry trade events. Ron also serves as the Chair of CEDIA’s Business College Content Action Team. Ron is regularly featured in the National and International Press as a leading thinker in the area of integrated technologies.
