Structures Technology Manager for the Bombardier Cseries, MRJ and BR725 programs. Responsibilities include all aspects of technical and supervisory oversight for Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, Mass Properties, Structural Integrity, Loads, Certification and Testing. Interface with the Bombardier, MRJ and BR725 customers and certification authorities for the resolution of design, analysis, testing, certification and in service issues.

Overall responsibilities included technical oversight, staffing requirements, budgetary and department long term planning for the T-6A/B production, product upgrades, resolution of critical customer concerns and field support for all HBC trainer aircraft (T-6A, T-1A, TX, T-34, T-44, and C-12).

Interfaced with the Government customer and FAA for the resolution of production, fielded aircraft and new design issues. Overall responsibilities included technical engineering support for T-6A/B production, product upgrades and field support for all HBC trainer and Special Missions aircraft (T-6A, T-1A, TX, T-34, T-44, and C-12). Performance resulted in promotion to Chief Engineer for the HBC Government Business Division.

Functional ownership (staffing requirements and design processes) and technical oversight responsibilities for the Stress, D&DT, Dynamics, Mass Properties, Airframe Design, Interiors and Industrial Design groups for all Raytheon Aircraft.

Technical Engineering IPT Lead for a major aircraft development effort. Responsibilities included technical and supervisory oversight for Aerodynamics, Mass Properties, Structural Integrity, Loads, Software, Human Factors, Technical Documentation and Design Graphics. Performance resulted in promotion to Director – Air Vehicle Design.

Directed/Managed the engineering department staff along with overseeing budgets and providing long term departmental planning. Engineering disciplines included Design, Manufacturing and Processing (M&P), Mechanical Systems, Structures, Loads, Avionics/Electrical and Technical Publications. Directed/supervised engineering efforts in support of aircraft installations, modifications, and repairs for commercial and government customers. Actively participated in the development of formal proposals and quotations for commercial and government customers. Actively involved with customer interface prior to and after the sale was closed. Responsible for engineering subcontract management tasks including contract negotiation support. Position required the ability to effectively and efficiently work with a diverse group of internal and external domestic and international customers.

Supervised/performed detailed strength analysis along with providing engineering design and production/manufacturing support. Responsible for supplier coordination efforts involving several major aircraft components. Influenced production and retrofit designs resulting in lightweight cost effective structure. Collaborated with manufacturing regarding repairs for major structural components. Position required the ability to effectively work with a diverse group of internal and external customers. Earned three promotions in six years of service. Obtained Masters Degree while working full time.
