Bottom Line: Ron knows Training! He specializes in taking complex concepts and making them easy to understand. Ron developed that skill during 30 years of working with more than 100 large and small organizations in government, defense, manufacturing, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. After leaving the Army, he started a career of training and consulting work. He began as an Affiliate of the Covey Leadership Center and then as a Director of Workforce Development at a community college. Later, he was one of the first in the nation to receive the Certified Professional for Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation from the Association for Training and Development and served as an evaluator for several years. For the past 15 years Ron has been a coach and consultant helping entrepreneurs create great training projects. Ron’s Personal Story: • I started training in the 4th grade, when, after making a presentation on the automotive engine to my class, I was asked to provide that presentation to the other 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes. It was my first unpaid training gig! • I believe that everyone has a unique expertise that can benefit others. The ability to share that expertise effectively is where I help. • Currently, I work as The Training Coach helping clients build training, classroom or online, that is fun and memorable for their learners. They learn how to add engagement to their program and how to deliver it well, so learners get the most out of the training. • Team Care Medicine liked my work enough to engage me to build, deliver, and maintain all their online and classroom learning projects for 30 of their clients around the country. I also provide coaching and consulting services for their clients to maximize the results of the training. I get to help doctors and their staff eliminate burnout, increase patient visits, improve patient satisfaction and patient health quality. • When I'm not working, you can find me playing the drums for my church or jamming with the blues at home. I started playing at age 8 and along the way, progressed through concert and marching bands, drum and bugle corps, pep bands, and Top 40 bands. • You can contact me at ron@TheTrainingCoach.com or call me at 757-828-5669 to discuss training, drumming or any other topic you found interesting.
