The EQ-99 also won the 2011 R&D 100 award.• Responsible for mechanical design, calculations, documentation and support for plasma sources ranging in power between 1.5W – 60kW. Experience includes thermal analysis of said plasma sources which includes FEA thermal analysis using Cosmosworks software. Design includes source hardware & cooling systems, calculations to estimate flow requirements, pressure drops and cv calculations.• Sub-system design afforded experience with brazed assemblies, thermally epoxied cold plates, many sheet metal parts, as well as, 1000+ machined parts. Also have worked with several ceramics, quartz, silicon carbide & boron nitride materials.• The EQ-10 EUV light source was awarded R&D Magazines top 100 award for the best products developed in 2006, as well as, Semiconductor International Editors’ Choice Award for 2008.• Have successfully designed cooling system for high power LED arrays.• Co-inventor on US patent #7,948,185 & 8,525,138.

All projects managed from concept through release to production.• Designed many in-house tools including a vacuum potting chamber for degassing potting materials for use on the sonar transducers. Also, designed custom shaped low-temperature ovens for use in curing these same transducers.
