Reporting to the CEO, I contributed to all aspects of the business, including account manager for a set of strategic accounts. I enjoyed this challenge very much and had great success nurturing relationships with our clients and consistently exceeding the annual 10% organic growth targets.In addition to serving as a key contributor on all prospective client RFPs and contract negotiations, I also won new clients. I personally closed a $1M account and subsequently led the account implementation, and after sales account management. On the suppler side, I was responsible for developing business partnerships with our airlines, hotel and car rental suppliers and in 2014 increased the partnership revenues contribution by 25%. I developed and nurtured relationships and strategic growth initiatives with airline partners such as Air Canada, Porter, Westjet, Delta and American, as well as hotel and car rental partners. I also led the accounting team, and was responsible for all financial controls and corporate and industry compliance. In this key role, my leadership extended throughout the organization, and I served as Project Manager on a diverse array of projects. These included client implementations, the relocation of our corporate offices, and the design and roll-out of an agent scorecard for use by the operations management team.

Reporting to the President, I was responsible for all administrative and logistical contract negotiation, implementation and post-signature contract management. These agreements included retail leases, transportation logistics, brokerage, and telecommunications contracts. The highlight of my time with Active was leading the spin-off of the company from its former parent Future Electronics. Prior to the spin-off, Active was completely dependent on its parent for all distribution and administrative operations. I successfully designed and built an entirely independent infrastructure to support the spun off entity. This included the creation and maintenance of all standard operating procedures. Following the spin-off I led many projects including IT roll-outs, retail leasehold improvements, and year-end inventory counts.

As a Business Analyst with Future Electronics I gained a tremendous amount of experience and honed my analytic skills in a fast paced environment. My responsibilities increased and I quickly became to "go-to" guy for any type of project. My crowning achievement was the successful implementation of an entirely new point-of-sale system at 18 locations across North America, in the span of 90 days, and up against a firm Y2K deadline. No one else in the organization would touch the project. I jumped at the opportunity to establish my reputation. My success on that project propelled me to new heights, and my area of responsibility widened to include facilities management for the retail division, and ultimately led to my being selected by the Division VP to lead his eventual acquisition of the retail division, and the spin-off of the Active stores into a stand alone entity.
