As project manager, our job is to plan, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project. We start with putting up the team together, project initiation by organizing what's going to happen and by then we lead them to achieve it. On the other hand, we also need to manage and control the cost of the project as we move along the timeline. Making decision could affect the three (3) most important aspects in the project: cost, time and resources. Those key components would cause a lot of changes but it's our responsibility to engage all stakeholders to make the right decision. Delivering the project’s objectives isn’t the end of the role as a project manager. The most important thing at the end of the execution phase is to make sure that we provide a clear and complete handover to the team who are going to be managing the project going forward.So by not making the same mistake again, we hold post-mortem meetings and document all lessons learned. So that’s what a project manager does all day. It’s a wide-ranging and challenging job, but it’s also varied and a great career choice!
