After thoroughly enjoying two years of retirement, a part time opportunity became available to help the industry understand the international market. I will be working with CIC Research, Inc. to use my nearly 31 years with the Department of Commerce working on travel and tourism research programs. Retired from Commerce at the end of December 2017. Looking to determine my next steps and for now plan to spend some time being a tourist. Delivered numerous presentations at industry trade shows, annual Governor's Tourism Conferences both in the United States and abroad. In-depth knowledge of international travel and tourism trends. Served as the Office liaison to the Travel & Tourism Advisory Board research sub-committee the Tourism Policy Council research working group, as well as participated in the Commerce Team that developed and is now working to implement the National Travel & Tourism Strategy.
