CurrentVibe Imaging Analytics is a later-stage startup company with a mission to ensure quality and food safety throughout the agricultural and food supply chain. We are developing cutting-edge technology to eliminate the need for human visual inspection of seeds, grains, and ingredients; our product is used by global organizations across the supply chain, from crop science, trading, grain and food processors to government agencies for quality, process control, and food safety applications. For example, Crop science organizations develop new seed varieties, such as disease resistance, by correlating genetics, the environment, and growing conditions with crop output results -thousands of sample datasets. Among our customers are Bayer, General Mills, and the USA and Canada departments of agriculture research centers. For perspective, the USA exports 90 million metric tons (200 billion pounds) of corn, soy, and wheat annually, worth 60 billion USD. Each shipment must go through sampling inspection by the US government agency or certified and designated companies. On the visual side, it is all done manually, which is labor-intensive, time-consuming, has a high error rate, and requires certified and experienced inspectors. Vibe reduces the test time from 30 to 1 minute and the error rate from 20-30% to 0.5%, done by an operator instead of an expert. From day one, we adopted a different approach than typical Silicon Valley venture-backed startups, where buzz, revenue, and growth are top priorities. We took the time to develop and deliver the best products and services. These days, we are adding production capacity with a partner in Scotts Valley, proud to deliver "Made in the USA." We are working with several organizations to standardize and promote digital inspection methods and build our marketing and sales infrastructure.
