Commissioned Officer managing complex nuclear security compliance, antiterrorism, vulnerability assessment, disaster incident response, force protection, physical security, asset protection, information/technology protection, and law enforcement programs in a variety of line and staff positions.Line positions included directing a force of up to 400 security and law enforcement personnel in protection of combat air wings as Operations Officer, Deputy Chief of Police, and Acting Chief of Police. This also entailed managing support functions such as training, corrections, K-9 kennel, investigations, vehicle fleet, information security, industrial security, supply, and the armory. Staff positions included serving as the Command Antiterrorism, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Tactical Deception Officer for the Air Force’s largest Major Command (MAJCOM). Another position entailed managing 3,300 law enforcement and security manpower positions as well as the assignments of the officers, enlisted, and DoD civilians who staffed those positions. Graduated from the Air Force Crisis Management/On-Scene Commanders Course, the U.S. Air Force Special Operations School’s Crisis Response Management course, and Dynamics of International Terrorism course. Performed as the Incident Commander and initial Incident Commander for a wide variety of emergency responses including HazMat releases, explosive ordnance, fires, and accidents. Participated in over 50 full-scale emergency response exercises in a variety of leadership roles to include staffing the Emergency Operations Center and Recovery Operations Center.
