8wire was a pioneer in Social Networking. At the time we called them communities and 8wire had 25,000 IT professionals receiving our biweekly newsletters. As co-founder I was focused on bringing like minded people together to enhance their knowledge and promote collaboration. The tools were crude however effective and the desire to share knowledge was overwhelming. 8wire suffered the fate of many VC backed ventures of the time. Great ideas come and go, greed will always triumph!

As the General Manager of the online stores my goal was to deliver a fully functional e-commerce site that attracted IT professionals of small to medium sized organizations. By March of 00' sales volume exceeded 10% of SMC's inside sales and therefore spurred a complete reorganization of the SMC business model.

My first real entrepreneurial adventure. I learned the hard way that desire alone won't pay the bills. As a manufacturer of upholstered goods CC produced floor pillows for Pic n' Save, doll furniture for QVC and office furniture for a manufacture in the home office industry.
