I studied Nursing to provide me with the knowledge and expertise to provide exceptional care to people at their most vulnerable moments. I developed the professional skill set to not only take care of one's physical needs but also to address the whole person. I have always been recognized for identifying the needs of ,my patients whether providing care to patients newly diagnosed with AIDS/HIV where no one knew what to expect, teaching a newly diagnosed diabetic patient how to inject insulin or doing a home visit in an underserved neighborhood to patients with limited resources. I have taken care of newborns, children of all ages, adults and seniors. My work experiences have instilled in me the importance of access to health care for everyone regardless of one's ability to pay. I have 10 plus years of Practice Management experience at well known health care institutions.I am a solutions oriented leader and am very skilled at looking at situations objectively and working collaboratively with staff, Providers and Administration to develop, implement and evaluate workflows to improve patient care and outcomes. I have interviewed, hired, trained and coached staff and built strong and cohesive teams to help staff be successful in their positions while exhibiting the mission, vision and values of the organization. I mentored many former staff to attain their potential and pursue further education. I have been very flexible in my career opportunities and have worked as a strong contributing team member on any team. I am well respected by former staff and colleagues for my leadership, vision and patient advocacy.
