As a technician, I am responsible for facilitating and streamlining the digestion side of the sample analysis, this means prioritizing the workload and being able to work independently for most of the day. Working at Graceland University's Student Call Center, I was able to work my way up from being a caller to being the lead supervisor. I learned administrative functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and holding office meetings. As a caller, I was able to learn how to recruit students and inform high schoolers about Graceland's potential. In this position, I aimed to be transparent to those we were trying to recruit and simultaneously find committed recruits to enrich Graceland.
