(multiple contracts)• HB Construction (CNRL Horizon HLEP Project)• Fort McKay Enterprises (multiple contracts)• EHS Partnerships (multiple contracts) Duties & Responsibilities• Contribute to the design and review of general strategic organizational policies, business plan and projects.• Drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness of H&S programs, procedures and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, effective utilization of company best practices, and enhanced productivity.• Carrying out COR audits to improve performance, which identify detailed, concise and actionable items that can be used repeatedly and successfully to identify weaknesses or lapses in controls in turn, promoting incident prevention. • Conduct inspections, ensuring that corrective actions are adequate, ensuring that investigation and reporting are implemented according to company procedures.• Develop the technical skills of personnel, drive and support comprehensive safety plans for the continuous improvement of safety that are proactive, data based, and prioritized according to risk assessment / JHA’s and incident reduction potential.• Carry out and manage the formulation of risk assessments and method statements for client employees and the approval of similar documentation for contractors engaged in the activities.• Investigation of incidents to establish root cause, suggest remedy, follow-up compliance & generate statistical reports to the board and advising on urgent safety matters.• Provide coaching and training to management on their roles and responsibilities and on the efficient implementation of a robust H&S program across the organization.
