Ronald (Ron) Kazel is a retired financial services professional with over three decades of experience. Ron’s career has afforded him the opportunity to participate in a variety of aspects in financial service companies focused on lending activities and fixed income securities. The scope of his responsibilities have included: managing or overseeing the operations of residential lending platforms and fixed income investment management and sales teams, acting both as an advisor and a principal in mergers & acquisitions and public and private company share issuances (US and UK), and developing and marketing public and private investment vehicles (multiple jurisdictions).Ron has also served on the board of several public companies and served as an advisor to private companies.Since leaving his last position as a Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee at Annaly Capital Management in 2013, Ron has pursued a variety of professional and philanthropic interests. Through his investment and advisory business, Kalliam Capital, he has invested in a variety of different early to mid-stage companies, both within fintech and other sectors. In 2017, Ron helped cofound FARR Education which provides real estate and other financing to charter schools in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. This endeavor allowed him to combine his professional experience along with his social interest in improving our education system. Ron also serves on the Board of America’s Grow-a-Row, a non-profit farm that grows and gleans fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables that are donated to those facing hunger throughout New Jersey and beyond.He continues to seek both new investment and advisory opportunities with businesses he finds intriguing and that can leverage his knowledge.
