Ron Fisher has a passion for helping individuals, communities and organizations increase their capacity to more effectively make progress on their deepest challenges. His framework tends to move individuals and organizations beyond informational exchanges to developmental/transformational ones. More specifically, moving them beyond an academic understanding of a challenge toward a deeper awareness of the human and organizational resistance that is thwarting its progress. Ron’s unique skills lie in the work of creating environments that encourage more open conversation and uncover the human resistance to progress and change. Ron currently serves as Director of Organizational Health & Development for the Kansas Department for Children and Families (USA). In that role he works with a team to oversee the work of employee and cultural development for DCF’s 2400 employees statewide. Leadership, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion and Cross Functional Program Knowledge development are key elements of that work. In addition, Ron is Principal of his own Leadership Coaching and Consulting firm (Fisher Coaching). He has over 25 years of leadership experience leading charitable organizations including 5 years as Housing Non-Profit Director of Operations and over 20 years in church leadership. Ron has served his local community as a member of the local school board from 2020-2023. He’s a Certified Public Manager and a Professional Certified Leadership Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Ron is married with two grown children and seven great grandchildren. He currently lives in Hutchinson, Kansas USA.
