About Ron Kirkpatrick

40 years of communications experience with Toyota, McDonald’s, Anheuser-Busch, Nissan, Coors and metropolitan newspapers. I’ve done everything from writing the press kit for the Southern California Ronald McDonald House to crafting a script for Walter Cronkite for a major corporate meeting. And I’ve helped companies weather crisis situations from union unrest, to African American boycotts to major automotive recalls and fines. I’ve even moonlighted as an adjunct professor at USC teaching Public Relations Writing to graduate students. And since I started out as a humble newspaper reporter writing weather reports and city council stories, I’m not a prima donna. On the PR side, I have the equivalent of the “Triple Crown” in experience, working with newspapers, a PR agency, and famous corporations. Awards, I’ve won my share, but I’m more proud of the fact that I’ve helped train and mentor many great up-and-coming communicators. I’m officially retired as a corporate type now, but not retired from life or helping good people and good causes.
