Profile bio

About Ron Lyon

During my career, I have held executive-level positions with a variety of organizations that have served patients in employer, Medicaid, Medicare, and indigent programs. The settings include hospital, health plan, pharmacy benefit manager, disease & behavioral health management, and health benefit consulting companies. A key component of my experience relates to the creation and ongoing development of a care gap alert and analytics system. The systems incorporate multiple databases on a SQL Server platform including medical & pharmacy claims, First Databank drug information, provider, and coding databases. The alert system notifies providers of a multitude of care gaps resulting in a consistent five percent or greater reduction in total health care costs, including few preventable hospitalizations. The analytics system provides utilization reporting, prescribing analyses, and audit functions.

Listed skills include Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Pharmacy, Health Policy, and 32 others.
