A skilled and highly motivated Crew Commander within a busy International Airport Fire Service. Glasgow Prestwick International Airport is one of the main Airports servicing the West Coast of Scotland. It handles a large volume of International traffic including transatlantic Freight and Passenger Aircraft. I lead crews to provide Emergency response covering the Airport and surrounding area, the Airport has a large Fuel storage facility with a high inventory of various volatile hydrocarbon and flammable gaseous products. The Airport also has large Cargo and storage warehouses which process Hazardous materials, Chemicals and dangerous goods which I have extensive experience in accident/incident situations involving all these Hazards. Responsibilities include: -Crew Commander in charge of managing a team of 8 top level Fire Fighters manning 3 Carmichael Cobra 2 state of the art Fire Appliances. -First responder to all incidents and key player on communication, dynamic risk assessments and Emergency service co-operation including liaison with all external agencies. -Organizing, promoting, assessing and maintaining a comprehensive Fire and Rescue training program. -Ensuring the tests and inspections of all Fire service and safety related Equipment is carried out in accordance with guidelines and procedures. -Adhering to and keeping updated with current Government, Fire service and Health and safety executive legislation, guidelines, regulations and approved codes of practice. -Leads, mentors and trains crews through both practical and theoretical training. -Assists with annual departmental budgeting. -Personally identified hazards, meticulously evaluated risks & successfully implemented risk management strategy.-Organise, facilitate and assess H.S.E. standard First Aid training.-Facilitate theoretical and practical training scenarios with all fire service personnel

Employed with a local car accessory store. My duties included sales on the shop floor, dealing with the general public, handling money, accepting, sorting and storing deliveries and supplying other stores with stock. I was also solely responsible for the installation of car alarms and stereo systems to customers’ vehicles that included insurance approved security systems.
