Founded the venture using state of the art raceway technology to raise high quality catfish in high density pens. Secured investors to construct the facility by digging theworld’s largest artesian well capable of moving 45,000 gallons of water per minute.Ramped production capacity to produce 3 million pounds per year.Recognized the value of the wells water rights and shifted the business strategy to sellthe water rights providing water needs for 250,000 people. From 1990 to 2002,managed the legal process over property rights through three legislative sessionsultimately to the Texas Supreme Court to uphold Texas’ Rule of Capture. Sold the waterrights of the well to the City of San Antonio for $30M.

Founded P&P Farms in 1986 by buying out investor positions to form one of the largestdairies in San Antonio, Texas with over 3000 cows. Business plan was to operate thedairy profitably and leverage the planned USDA buyout of local dairies.Managed the process to have the dairy selected into the USDA program. Received theninth largest award in the program and sold the dairy to the USDA for $3.4M.

Developed to provide growth capital for undercapitalized small farms in the UnitedStates leveraging various tax sheltered investments. Developed a total syndicatedinvestor subscription of $3M. Investor capital was used to buy and lease over 3,000dairy cows throughout the United States. Investors sold leases to P&P Dairy andreceived substantial tax credits and deductions.Proceeds from P&P Dairy were rolled under P&P Farms to provide the capital to buyoutexisting investors in P&P Farms.
