Student in Utrecht University's select Multidisciplinary Economics programme, which features a strong focus on Institutions, Organizations, and Behavioural Economics and takes a distinctly multidisciplinary view towards the dismal science. The programme furthermore entails and encourages close involvement with the department's research staff and their work.

Responsible for instructing high school students in physics (and maths) at the two highest levels (havo & vwo), in both the lower and higher forms (onderbouw & bovenbouw). A less formal but more important responsibility, was enthusing young students for physics and science in general. Managed to realize and consolidate an appreciable increase in the share of students electing physics for the second phase of their secondary education. Took concerted effort to expose pupils to much broader intellectual challenges and socially relevant issues than typically present in high school curricula.

The 'Albanian Factor in South East Europe' (ALB FACT) is a project that seeks to provide solid information - inter alia, through lectures and a website - as foundation for open discussion on the Western Balkans, and the Albanian factor thereof.As Deputy Project Director (since January 2011), I am responsible for much of the planning, correspondence and logistic coordination required for the project. Additionally, I've performed as the hosting chair during ALB FACT events and I'm responsible for the construction and maintenance of most of our IT-facilities (including the website).

SIB-Nederland -or the Dutch United Nations Student Association- is the umbrella organisation for the various local United Nations Student Associations active in the Netherlands.As President, I chair the monthly board meetings as a neutral actor and represent DUNSA to external relations on a national level where it is not opportune for other board members (who run the lion's share of DUNSA's daily affairs) to do so.

Was selected through a national competition to take part in the Dutch delegation to NATO's Chicago Summit held on 20-21 May 2012. This was part of a public awareness campaign organized by the Communication and Security Policy departments of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Amongst other things, produced a video series on the current and future challenges and relevance of NATO including interviews with the Dutch PM, MFA, and MoD.

A Struggle for Peace was a successful conference on human rights, globalisation, and development which took place on 6 February 2010 (1100 participants).Aside from secretarial duties (archive management, taking minutes, IT, correspondence with external partners), I acted as a deputy chairman in helping overall coordination and workflow-management with a particular focus on acquisition, promotion, content-related planning, and logistics (registration and volunteer management).

In addition to general responsibilities as a board member of DUNSA/SIB-Utrecht, I headed the committee for promotion and acquisition. Achievements in this function include introducing a graphic style manual enhancing DUNSA's recognizability, conceiving and overseeing organizational reforms, obtaining over 15000 Euro's in funds for various projects, and diminishing the association's prior overdependence on big subsidies by successfully introducing a policy of fund-diversification, thereby safeguarding editorial independence for its lecture programme.

As a general member of the organizing committee, I played a supportive role in content-related aspects of the successful A Struggle for Peace conference on peace, security, and development which took place on the 7th of June 2007 (600 participants). I particularly focused on conceptual development of the programme, location planning, hosting, and speaker-relations.
