Our staff worked in conjunction with other departments to identify detailed servicing guide violations which hindered or prevented Freddie Mac from marketing foreclosed properties. In this role I was responsible for the final review of the deficiency before the referral to the remedy group. Additionally, I managed the processing of any assessed penalties resulting in $450M dollars collected in 2016. Our group provided oversight for an outsourced hazard insurance co. who filed the claims and collected proceeds exceeding $180M dollars in 2016. I was appointed to lead the group as the liaison between the servicer and listing Brokers marketing our properties, as well as other departments within Freddie Mac, responding to and redirecting nearly 300 emails a month.

I worked with the MI companies and servicers to help reduce credit loss by auditing claim payments to ensure maximum receipt, disputed curtailments as well as billed the servicer for curtailments due to their deficiencies; ran analysis on the MI companies offer to determine if the acquisition in lieu of REO sale was in Freddie Mac’s best interest. This resulted in a collection of over $300 M as part of the MI Unit in 2014. I was a participant in the development of Freddie Mac’s claim filing system, MI Access. As a result of my industry knowledge and performance, I was promoted to a senior role, and later Team Lead, serving as mentor and trainer, and deemed the subject matter expert for the MI unit. I was instrumental in the development of Freddie Mac’s MI presale offer process, including the policy and procedures. This initiative ultimately expedited the process from sometimes six days to two.

Analyzed defaulting loans and made recommendations to the Resolution Trust Corporation for the best disposition.

Responsible for offering foreclosure alternatives to mortgagors with various remediation plans such as short sales, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure, assumptions or note modification.

Negotiated and approved distressed loan options between the mortgagors, servicers and MI companies. I performed on-site visits of customers to ensure compliance with reporting accuracy, collection efforts, and more.
