Contract position. Managing the regulatory approval process of two GSM/UMTS/802.11/Bluetooth wireless handheld computer regulatory projects for the US, Canadian, European Union, Australian and New Zealand markets. Also, consulting/working with other development groups and performing other regulatory tasks.

Working with clients on EMC, Product Safety, Telecom, RFID wireless and GSM/GPRS regulatory approval projects in the US, Canada, European Union, Australia and New Zealand thus far to ensure product compliance from product concept to end of life. Providing design consultation and troubleshooting services. Working closely with the client’s Engineering staff.

Managed the CN50 and CN4/CN4e mobile computer wireless GSM/UMTS/CDMA/IEEE 802.11/Bluetooth radio regulatory approval projects for the US, Canadian, European Union, Australian and New Zealand markets.

Directed product safety, EMC, telecom, and Wireless (RFID and GSM/GPRS) regulatory approval projects of US and international products. Wrote internal product safety, EMC, RoHS, and WEEE specification and procedure documents, as well as test equipment calibration and manufacturing test procedures to establish and maintain product and process compliance. Led.

Managed/supervised Network Systems Hardware Development department in engineering design and technical disciplines. Led an engineering staff of 8 members in the design and execution of products from concept to end-of-life. Delivered departmental objectives in budget management, project results, and leadership standards.

Evaluated network systems product designs and modifications to meet compliance requirements. Reviewed national and international regulatory developments. Launched internal pre-testing through the formation of an EMC and product safety pre-test lab. Improved product performance and safety though the successful execution of regulatory requirements in early.
