Assist the Vice President of Finance/CFO and Vice President of Treasury and Human Resources in providing overall direction for accounting, tax, budget, treasury, cash management, bank relations, bonding relations, and risk management. Assist in developing policies and monitoring activities affecting, or affected by, all operating companies in these areas of responsibilities. Including:Return on investment calculations for operating company capital expenditure requests; Review equipment rental and leases for proper classification in accordance with GAAP; Perform financial analysis of operating company five year strategic plans;Determine year end working capital and equity needs and propose line of credit borrowing needs; Oversee all real estate including corporate office lease and develop annual rental rates, budgets and forecasts and coordinate the sale of property no longer needed by operating companies; Prepare annual ten year ESOP repurchase study; Perform special financial analysis and GAAP research as requested by executive management

Responsible for all financial and IT functions, including:Administration of accounting personnel, policies and procedures including internal controls; Hire, supervise, train and develop accounting staff and train others as necessary, and troubleshoot issues; Ensure all recorded transactions are in accordance with GAAP or other required accounting standards; Design and implement new processes or process improvements as deemed necessary; Perform and assist with profitability analysis and financial decision making; perform/coordinate special accounting and financial projects and analyses as requestedAssumed responsibility and leadership for difficult software conversion including final migration and development of new reporting models. Hired new controller, software specialist and systems administrator and delegated responsibilities within the accounting department to skill appropriate levels. Involved peer group executives and managers in development of company budgets and reports. Developed super users group for companywide input on software issues. Coordinated bidding of telecom services for annual savings in excess of $100,000.

With 29 years of experience, I have served as CFO of a construction company, property acquisition and management company and distribution company and have held titles such as Corporate Controller, Risk Manager, Director of Finance and Senior Auditor.
