The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is a national nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that works to develop public policy for recreational boating safety. NASBLA represents the recreational boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories. NASBLA offers a variety of resources, including training, model acts, education standards, publications and more. Through a national network of thousands of professional educators, law enforcement officers and volunteers, we affect the lives of over 85 million American boaters.

MANAGEMENT  Serve as deputy director for a $3.1 million national association. Write and manage federal grants. Oversee design and delivery of national workshops, conferences and training events.  Provide staff support to association’s executive board. Oversee development and coordination of National Standards Advisory Panel. Assist with development and management of strategic plan. PUBLIC POLICY/RESEARCH  Coordinate all association public policy development. Coordinate policy committee work and staff. Develop research agenda to advance policy work and strategic planning. Coordinate policy outreach and communications. Coordinate annual conference and workshop agendas to advance policy agenda.OUTREACH, COMMUNICATIONS & ENGAGEMENT Coordinate media relations activities. Serve as managing editor of association’s national magazine. Serve as liaison to partnering groups and federal advisory council. Develop association’s online community for professional social engagement and knowledge sharing and management. Coordinate association’s Internet presence.
