Technology is not just about the hardware or software, it’s about the people and processes behind and in front of what it can offer to a business. Technology is here to help a business succeed, individuals to perform their job duties but also a means for people to communicate, to engage, to grow. My approach to technology is to find where the business or individual has a need to improve, whether that is in improving sales, processes, reporting, or any other means. Technology is not limited to the IT department but surrounds each individual and process. My goals are to find those processes that need improvement and offer what technology can do for them to reduce time, improve profits, and provide an easier means for individuals to perform their job duties. I look at technology from the whole perspective, I’ve always been the jack of all trades, if there is technology in a process I will learn, adapt, and engage in it to learn how it works and how I can help the business/individual master their skills with it. Could I hire many people to do each role? Absolutely, but if there isn’t a long-term plan/goal for them it’s a disservice to the business and the individuals. Maximize your people but not overwhelm them. Give them projects and tasks that interest & challenge them, the drive and passion will grow within them this way!I’ve worked alone and with teams, I’ve started with nothing and established everything, adaptation is essential in my opinion, failure to adapt, grow, maintain are ways to an end. I want to grow, I want to grow the business, I want to grow people. Surrounding yourself with a network of people who are there for you when you need it or when they need it is essential for skill building and process development.I hire people based on their potential, what I can see in them is not necessarily what they are capable of today. I want to grow individuals just as I want the business to grow. When individuals grow, they take pride in their work, they go the extra mile, they become the change agents for the business. Growth and learning come from each opportunity I’ve had. I’ve enjoyed mentoring people and watching them blossom from interns to working at Fortune 500 companies.Never stop learning, never stop growing. There will be bumps along the way but look up, learn, and grow, mistakes are not failures they are opportunities to grow and learn!Let's have a conversation, a call, or meet for lunch, let's take the next step together.
