Developed new data model to support new applications and integrate existing ones for a SaaS provider serving the construction industry. This new model provides a set of common definitions and structures reverse-engineered from several existing application-specific databases. It also allows the company to develop new services more quickly and to migrate existing applications to a common platform. The new database model also provides a solid base for future Business Intelligence initiatives.As part of this effort, developed a data migration strategy and an implementation including ETL, data quality, and data de-duplication. Implementation was done in SQL Server, SSIS, and SQL Server Data Quality Services (DQS).
