Listening Post was founded in 1991 by a group of representatives from 90 different Churches across Gloucestershire in response to an identified need for a Counselling service within Gloucestershire.Today Listening Post has grown into a leading provider within Gloucestershire of professional counselling and training, with 150+ staff and volunteers across our three Centres. Our Counselling services are well regarded by the local community for the difference that we make to people’s lives and our training courses enable our students to become excellent practitioners.

I'm pleased to have been invited to join the Trustee Board of FutureSense Foundation, which is a small international development charity focused on supporting disadvantaged communities around the world to so that they can build a better future. We are committed to delivering the UN goals for Sustainable Development through long-term programmes, delivered by volunteers, focusing on Education, Health and Livelihood support.International volunteers have played a vital role in the Foundation delivering its programmes to low income communities across six countries – Cambodia, India, Nepal, Peru, Tanzania, and Thailand. Through partnerships with local community-based organisations, NGOs and government run schools and health centres the Foundation reaches around 8,000 beneficiaries every year.However, to have a greater positive impact on the lives of some of the most disadvantaged communities around the world, the challenge now is engaging people, raising funds, and developing innovative solutions to meet local community aspirations.

1998 to 2019 – Progressive Development Partnership, CheltenhamCoaching and development of individuals and groups, mainly senior managers and high calibre people across business and other sectors but also those undergoing career changes like school-leavers and graduates. Clients from the Public, Private and charity sectors including areas of the Civil Service, Police & Fire Service, Financial Services, Primary Care, Pharmaceuticals, Marketing, Biotechnology & Communications in the UK, Africa, Scandinavia, Middle East & Far East to national & multinational audiences

Managed the design, development and manufacture of Stedifoot, an innovative walking aid that fitted to the bottom of a walking stick or crutch, providing enhanced support to users. The support of colleagues and suppliers proved invaluable through the development phases, which provided prototypes to a number of very satisfied customers. However, it's later changes in design and manufacturing proved to be a step too far - more of a learning experience than a marketing success and I decided, with other Directors, to close the Company

I was responsible for corporate initiatives for the development of Directors, their potential successors & those with exceptional talent. I developed one-to-one coaching/counselling relationships, designed & created initiatives on leadership & cultural change & created a competence strategy that was core to reward, performance management & development strategies.
