Ever since I was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, I have dedicated my career to the advancement of medical diagnostics.At Beckman Coulter, I achieved the position of National Field Specialist by diagnosing and resolving the company’s most difficult problems before they recruited me to their R&D division. I continued my career there as a Systems Engineer in R&D and progressed to Global Director within 10 years. When in R&D, I realized that I could have a bigger impact on diagnostic outcomes by developing better systems than to just fixing the existing ones!After Beckman, I moved to a privately held contract developer of IVD systems. There, I delivered an award-winning chemistry-immunochemistry system, which now has both CE Mark and 510(k) clearance. I eventually became their CTO and VP of R&D, developing IVD systems for global companies.I really enjoy helping small companies with limited development resources to get their concepts to market as quickly as possible. I also help equity groups find value in small IVD companies targeted for investment.
