As part of the Big Data Center of Excellence I am responsible for the delivery of multiple dashboards in support of several business use cases focused of Payment Transaction Processing and other subject areas utilizing tools such as columnar databases, Teradata , Hadoop, Pentaho, and advanced visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview etc.Under my guidance and supervision we are building a Payment Transaction Analytics repository that holds approx 3 Tb of data and up to 7 years of payments. This repository will be made available to the business as the data source for various revenue generating and cost saving use casesWith my help, within he first month, we were able to identify several multi $MM potential revenue opportunities and cost savings which have been very well received by the business. We are currently working with several other teams within the BNYM organization to expand the scope of the Payment Transaction Analytics repository to include securities and others types of financial transactions.

Designed, developed and heading up and the Operational Insights into the Enterprise Data Service in support of the regulatory programs BNYM is required to comply with. The EDS Operational Insights Framework, through a combination of instrumentation plugins and a backbone based on Kafka, a database and a business rules engine provides a set of out-of-the-box dashboards and alerting/notification mechanisms to manage this key initiative. Currently in the process in converting this framework into an enterprise wide Operational Insights Framework.
