About Ron V.

After graduating for my Master's degree in business economics from the University of Amsterdam, I moved to Australia to get working experience in an international setting.Right after starting a Divemaster course, I was offered a coordinator’s position at a new South Australian scuba diving centre. About half a year later, I was promoted to general manager of this organisation. After living and working in Australia for just over a year and a half I decided not to prolong my visa. I left the country instead to pursue my dreams on Curaçao (former Dutch Antilles), where I was offered a job as marketing manager at one of the largest online retailers of design bathroom furniture of Belgium and The Netherlands. After learning about search engine optimisation, search engine advertising and conversion rate optimisation, I took on the role as general manager of the business by delegating most marketing tasks and focusing on HR management and supervising the financial, marketing and content writing divisions.During my time on Curaçao I got qualified as a PADI scuba diving instructor and Emergency First Response instructor, allowing me to teach several diving programs and first aid/CPR training.Because my passion for diving was sparked again by doing my scuba diving instructor course, a move back to Australia was the next plan. I secured a job in Sydney before the move and started working as a full time diving instructor and marketeer for Sydney's largest dive centre.Soon the urge to give our own spin on things was too strong to resist and the decision was made to move back to Adelaide to start our own venture Diving Adelaide. In October 2013, we opened the doors of Diving Adelaid and the virtual doors of OnlineDiveGear.com.au!Specialties: General and performance management, marketing management, HR management, policy development, stock management, SEO and SEA.

Listed skills include Marketing Management, Management, Coaching, Scuba Diving, and 13 others.
