Responsible for design and development of Xerox printer products including mechanism, cover and system design, structural, cooling, performance, motor control and human factors. • Led design team in a revolutionary printer design which for the first time diverged from its typewriter roots driving cost down with a focus on printer functionality. Among other features created first daisy printer with an all plastic chassis. • Managed designers working on mechanism, structural and cooling aspects of design while providing a system viewpoint which resulted in an integrated, optimized design. • Designed complete drive systems from motor drive circuits and solenoids through belting, cabling, gearing and bearings to carriage and mounting structures, providing low cost integrated solutions for new products.
