I led a team of construction professionals representing multiple clients in the build out of their hyperscale data centers. Expertise includes scalable, energy efficient, water conscious, and sustainable data center solutions with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.

I was a project director leading a global owner’s representative program for a hyperscale cloud provider. Program entails the management of colocation fit-outs on client’s behalf. Projects number over 70 with a size of over 306 MW’s with over 55 at a size of over 522 MW’s in planning. I led a team comprised of project managers in the U.S., UK, Philippines, and India. Also served as subject matter expert within data center market globally.

I led data center construction efforts for North America, but also have a strong focus during the preconstruction phase to ensure efficient planning. The Xcel Energy Data Center Advisory Board is tasked with evaluating energy efficiency measures and making recommendations for modifications to Xcel's energy efficiency rebates program.

I led programming and design efforts aimed at helping the customer obtain the optimum scalable off-site constructed data center solution. Focused on energy efficiency, water consciousness, sustainability, and Total Cost of Ownership as they apply to data centers. Projects included a data center renovation for a confidential telecom client in Greenwood Village, CO, an indoor off-site constructed data center solution in Denver, CO, and a greenfield modular data center for Denver Water.Duties Included:• Help customers with data center solution budgets• Lead design programming and detailed design efforts• Lead customers through entire life of data center projects• Create custom off-site constructed / modular / prefabricated data center concepts

I focused on Mission Critical facilities in the western region with an emphasis on constructing energy efficient, highly dense, scalable and sustainable data centers. Member of the west region Lean Construction Committee.

The Arizona chapter of AFCOM is focused on the data center industry. Our goal is to bring value to our members through educational and networking events. New initiatives include a new, chapter specific, website and a LinkedIn group to share data center news focused in Arizona.

I led Gray Construction's Mission Critical Division. Emphasis in constructing high density, scalable, highly efficient and sustainable data centers using the latest available technology including modular, containerized, and lean construction techniques.

Primary duties were to oversee the development of the Mission Critical, Manufacturing, and Water / Wastewater markets in Arizona for Mortenson.Arizona projects included the AlaskaUSA Data/Call Center, the John C. Lincoln Health Network Data Center, Confidential Bank Data Center, Confidential Financial Services Call Center, the Riverpoint Solar Research Park, the Gestamp Solar Steel Manufacturing Facility Phase I, the LEED Platinum White Tanks Branch Library and Nature Center, the 24th Street Water Treatment Plant Disinfection By-Products Mitigation Project, the 24th Street Water Treatment Plant Optimization Project, the Camelback Ranch Baseball Infrastructure Project, the Rainbow Valley Reservoir & Pump Station for the City of Goodyear, and the 24th Street Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project for the City of Phoenix.Joined Mortenson in 2001 in Tokyo to convert a parking garage into a data center for a U.S. based client. Joined Mortenson's Seattle office in 2002 and oversaw the expansion of a Confidential Data Center, then managed the construction of a state of the art water treatment facility before moving on to Mortenson's Phoenix office in 2005.Active in the AFCOM (AZ Chapter Director of Speakers and Events and Vice President), Arizona Technology Council (Law & Technology Committee), Arizona Energy Consortium, Phoenix Green Chamber of Commerce (Board Member At-Large & Public Policy Committee), Arizona Water Association (Construction Committee), Design-Build Institute of America, 7x24, and the Construction Management Association of America.

Startup telecommunications firm where I was responsible for the design and construction of all facilities housing electronics.

Worked with Senior Director of Facilities Engineering to open a new office for Enron Broadband Services in Denver. Responsibilities included collaborating on design of new modular regeneration and amplification stations for long haul fiber network. Staffed and managed a group of project managers to roll-out facilities on new fiber optic network. Also responsible for permitting and construction of new POP's and Data Centers on network.

Responsible for the design and construction of all facilities housing electronics on the first 18,000 miles of the Qwest fiber optic network including the rollout of CyberCenter data center model.

Responsible for scheduling, cost control, financial projections, and contract management for Los Angeles operating group of nationwide fiber optic network company.

Conducted field engineering duties including surveying and structural layout for water treatment facilities in Sherman, TX and Broken Arrow, OK.
