Designed a payment system used to integrate client products with several existing payment gateways. ● Managed engineering resources, project roadmap, and technical requirements. Also, Responsible for designing, launching, and maintaining microservices built and launched with .NET 6, C#, SQL Server, Redis, Datadog, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, AWS, Kubernetes/Docker, and Terraform.

Created and led the Advantage Play (fraud) team which was composed of senior backend engineers located across the United States with the purpose of helping our division launch a new web and mobile product. We engineered API and data services to support storing and retrieving 20+TB/year of data for real-time and out-of-process fraud analysis.● Directed and advised in the creation of architecture review documents (ARD) when designing new services and features. Performed code reviews on pull requests.● Our team managed five microservices using .NET 6, C#, Python, MySQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Redis,RabbitMQ, and Microsoft Orleans. We implemented Backend-for-Frontend and CQRS patterns. CI/CD tools used were Bitbucket, Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, Kubernetes, Rancher (containers).

Led the online payments team from 2 full stack engineers to 3 teams of 15 full stack engineers across America and the Philippines. Charged with stopping our declining YoY revenue growth, I drove growth of our annual recurring revenue (ARR) to over 340% from $5 million to $22 million over my five years as manager. ● Managed 24 products, including our citizen-facing Utility Billing payment multi-tenant SaaS site requiring PCI-compliance and processing over 19 million payments annually ($2.8 billion processed) for over 2,000 government agencies. ● Facilitated the split of critical and high traffic services out of our monorepo/monolith application into separate microservices (payment processing, user authentication, bill processing, etc.) using .NET/Core, C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and Dapper. CI/CD tools used were TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Docker, and Selenium.

● Grew and maintained our Municipal Online Payments website which processed 5+ million payment transactions annually (in 2017). Used C#, JavaScript, MVC, LINQ to SQL, and Entity Framework.● Created the ExpressLane Defensive Driving online course that allows for e-filing completion certificates to courts. Developed using C#, JavaScript, MVC, and LINQ to SQL.● Created a PCI-compliant payment site used to take payments for city permits through our EnerGov Citizen Self Service portal. Developed using C#, MVC, and Entity Framework.● Led our Agile meetings such as daily standups, sprint retros, and sprint planning.

Worked with advertising agencies to create over forty websites and Facebook applications for high-profile clients. Clients included Microsoft, Samsung, Phillips 66, Welch's, Joe's Crab Shack, and many others. Technologies used were C#, Javascript, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, and Adobe Photoshop.

Built and maintained custom web applications for the Police, Fire, Health, and Fleet Departments using C#, SQL Server, HTML, and CSS. Also maintained legacy financial and HR programs written in COBOL and RPG on an IBM AS/400 system.

Collaborated with ten remote team members to develop our MedBill Enterprise software suite that automatically filled and/or verified medical codes sent to insurance companies.

● Designed and developed the employment processing system to allow online applicants to log in and apply for positions and track its progress. ● Designed and developed the Capital Improvement Projects system that tracked detailed information about projects that cost $25,000 or more for use in the city's budget planning.

● Responsible for the development, data gathering, and planning of our development cycles.● Created custom web applications for At Risk Children, Family Tracker for the Florida Department of Children & Families, The Magnolia Project, St. Johns River Organization, and Florida KidCare.● Collaborated with another startup to create an application that determined the order of payment liability between multiple insurance carriers for individuals with multiple insurance plans.

● Developed the University of Florida's Alcohol Education site and consulted at PRISM to create a site that allows contractors to bid on projects for insurance companies using ASP, Visual Basic, and SQL Server.● Traveled across the country to teach various Microsoft engineering courses such as Visual Interdev 6.0, Visual Basic 6, IIS, FrontPage, and various custom web courses.
